Sonoma County is known for wine, food, outdoor activities with amazing places to walk & hike, cycle and jog, the Russian River for swimming, tubing, canoeing & kayaking.

Three wine appellations all well represented within 30 minutes of property: over 60 wineries and 5 micro breweries within 15 minutes of house.

Horses are the 3rd largest industry with places offering traditional trail rides, but off the beaten path visit Icssoma Farm to take a lesson for you, or a clinic for your family to begin to speak the language of the horse and hear moving stories about the equines that have been rescued.

Culinary delights, food to table, slow food.

Great restaurants at both ends of the spectrum. A variety of  places for take out, with wonderful scenic locations for picnics: wineries, state parks, the ocean, and much more.

Nearby are fabulous restaurants including Zagat-rated darlings ZaZu, Underwood Bar & Bistro and the Willowood Market Café.
